This Day in Dayton, 22 March

A fire in a wood stove on the first floor ignited Ralph Neal’s 1845-era farmhouse on March 22, 2005. Volunteers from Mulberry, Clarks Hill, and Colfax assisted Sheffield Township Volunteer Fire Department in battling the blaze. It took two hours to bring the fire under control.
