This Day in Dayton, 7 January

A 1989 newspaper story revealed that a gasoline/food store would be built at the I-65 interchange at Dayton. Dean R. Stewart, president of Stewart Oil Co. of Illinois, credited the building of SIA with the decision to build a Super Gas / Super Pantry at Dayton. (“Oil Company Follows Autos  into Dayton,” Journal and Courier, 7 January 1989). I guess this was the business that is now the Circle K gas and convenience store.
