This Week in Dayton, 10 August

In 1989, Dayton Home Town Days was held from August 11 to August 13. This was the fifth year for the festival, and it had dropped from four days to three. Events included the Fire Department fish fry, a car show, a live radio broadcast, a jam session, a parade, and the usual assortment of a flea market, yard sales, food booths, games, and entertainment. Proceeds would go to defer the medical expenses of an unnamed cancer patient.
