This Day in Dayton, 1 July

Again on July 1, 1871, as on June 24, articles ran in the Courier saying that the people of Culver’s Station [Now called Crane Station] were complaining about the way the mail was delivered. It seems the trains were running so fast it was difficult to get the mail on and off. [Photo is of the restored railroad station at the Canal at Delphi.]
