This Day in Dayton, 17 June

On June 17, 1827, a delivery of five barrels of flour was made to “Wild Cat Indians.” This is according to entry on a list of items delivered to Potawatomi Indian villages found in the papers of John Tipton (Tipton Papers). Could this indicate the Indians at Wyandot? if so, it is an indication that at the time of white settlement, they were not Wyandot, but Potawatomi Indians.
