This Day in Dayton, 13 May

In April 1986, Dayton pulled together to hold a party and dance to benefit Jodi Warren, a 13-year-old Wainwright Junior High girl who had lost a leg to cancer earlier in the year. Admission was free. Money was raised with a cake auction, craft booths, and games and other attractions. Music for dancing was provided by South and the Southern Comfort, and a clogging demonstration was given by the Sunshine Cloggers. The event was reported by Jack Alkire in the Journal and Courier on April 10, 1986.
